Bodhi Linux 4.5.0 - 64 Bit - Firefox addon pointing to wrong location
Hi, folks! :)
After installing Bodhi Linux 4.5.0-64bit (the app-pack version), I also installed Firefox 61.0.1, together with an add-on called "Download Manager S3". This add-on offers an option to open the target folder of a download by right-clicking the according download in the download bar and choosing the option "Open target folder". But instead of that target folder, ePhoto is being started. It doesn't happen within other distros, like for instance, Linux Mint 18.1 MATE-64bit. What can I do to fix this, please? |
Create the file: ~/.local/share/applications/mimeapps.list or ~/.local/share/applications/defaults.list
And add to it the line: Code:
inode/directory=pcmanfm.desktop |
Which one of those files is to be preferred, please?
What is the difference between them, regarding the resulting behaviour? EDIT: Doesn't look like there was any difference but the file name. Thank you very much! |
Pretty sure they both serve the same function. Likely a result of one person wanting to call it one thing, another wanting to call it another, so now we have both and most things look in both places that care :)

Bad news:
This file is no solution. ePhoto is still being started instead of the target folder. What else can I do about this, please? |
Worth a try-
settings/settings panel/Apps/Default Applications/File File Manager PCManfm Apply |
Great! Definitely looks like a solution. :D
Thank you so much! |
@madmax25: can you mark this topic as SOLVED please?
|
Sorry, I can't, because there's no according prefix available.

is that not possible for you? |
Indeed, it doesn't work here.
|
that is strange.
i understand that some subforums disable that, due to their nature. but not the bodhi subforum? |
I just had the same issue within ClipGrab and the 1st reply by Jeff91 fixed it.
Thank you! |
