If my memory serves me, I faced this issue

I can not explain why this happens but in my case the installation from DVD device helped me. I have to ask our guys how to fix it

Stefan

EDIT: hmm, looking at the screenshot precisely I am not sure this was my case. Forgot my advice above...it was just a glimpse

OK

Lets start again
1. Tell us more about your HW
2. Which ISO have you downloaded?
3. Your issues start when boot to live session or during the installation process?

Looking at some Google stuff related, this could be a kernel version issue. I will wait for your info firstly

Stefan

Hello there

Sorry not answering soon but too much duties here. After seeing your answers I am not able to help you off hand. Main difference related to BL 4.5 vs BL 5.0 are newer kernel and newer Ubuntu base now in 18.04 version. What I can offer is this link with working solution. Try to apply

https://www.dedoimedo.com/computers/...ic-update.html

I found package named intel-micorcode in repository. I hope installing it could lead to solution. Too hard for solving issues when I can not reproduce it here.

Stefan
