Bodhi - Icons on desktop not appearing
Hi,
I'm a beginner using Bodhi linux. I'm using Bodhi 4.5, 32-bit on a dell inspiron 600m laptop. The hardware compatibility is very good; so no problems with hardware. My question is in regards to being able to put application shortcuts on the moksha desktop. I tried to follow the instructions on another thread. I copied the link from "usr/share/applications" into the home\desktop folder. Unfortunately, I can't see any icons on the desktop. Maybe I'm missing something? Can anyone give me any ideas that would allow me to have icons on the desktop without using ibars. Thank you |
You need to load the module called Desktop Icons.
|
To be more specific search for "modules" in the quick launcher, click to the files tab, selection desktop icons, and click the load button:

That was it
That solved it.
I loaded the module and now I can see the icons on the desktop. Thank you very much for helping me resolve this. Much appreciated. |
