BL4.5.0-3bit - No bluetooth pause in Clementine
In my BL4.5.0-32bit, I installed Clementine in order to play mp3's.
I also have bluetooth headphones, where tapping once on the right side is supposed to pause a song, tapping twice means "Next song" and tapping three time means "Previous song". Tapping twice and three times is working fine, but tapping once for "Pause" doesn't work, even I associated this command with the SPACE key in the settings of Clementine. How can I fix this, please? In case it's not possible, what audio player (audio only, but with the ability to create playlists, just like or similar to Clementine!) do you recommend as an alternative for BL4.5.0-32bit, where the wanted feature does work? |
I found some information, telling me to add the following command to the start-up.
Code:
remuco-clementine |
is it in synaptic? that would beeasiest. if not then maybe some install command - the specifics i am not going to go there - do not want you to crash your system for some dummy's advice. but possibly a sudo instal command. others definitely could help you out. good luck.

I also tried this in Xubuntu 18.04.2-32bit, where pause does work, if I tap once and right after that tap a second time. The time between these two taps must be a little bit longer as it would be for the next song command to prevent any confusion between the two commands.
The mentioned information told me to install remuco-clementine as a package and then add it as a command to the start-up. Since the package is available only for Ubuntu 14.04, there was nothing to be installed, and so, I just added the command. As a result of that I now get a popup on the upper right corner, telling me the pause status. but still, I have to tap two times with a little delay in between on the earphones to make it work there. But in BL4.5.0-32bit, pause doesn't work at all, when tapping the earphones, Let me add, Clementine does work fine by using its GUI. It just doesn't when I try to use the headphones, and there it just doesn't work for the pause command only. Oh, btw, the headphones do work great on Android, including the pause command with a single tap, |
old os's and old packages do not get upgraded and also do not always work in a newer tweaked os from my understanding.

Right, but I wonder, why there's still that bug in the newer version.
I mean, this solution was meant for systems based on Ubuntu 14.04 but BL4.5.0 is based on Ubuntu 16.04, but still no solution? Let me add, this bug is present not only in Clementine, but in Audicious or SMPlayer as well. |
