Bluewhite64 Linux 12.1 KDE3 and KDE4 LiveDVD R1 released!

New revised version is available for Bluewhite64 Linux 12.1 KDE3 LiveDVD. Also, we are introducing a Bluewhite64 Linux 12.1 KDE4 LiveDVD R1!

Bluewhite64 Linux 12.1 KDE3 LiveDVD R1 has received important security and stability updates. This updates include new versions of the KDE, X.org Server, Pidgin, ALICE, Openssh & OpenSSl, Mozilla Firefox/Thunderbird/SeaMonkey, Bind, Amarok and many more. For the complete and detailed updates please see the Bluewhite64 Linux 12.1 KDE3 ChangeLog page.

New feature has been added, BW64installer, which is a GUI based installation program for installing Bluewhite64 Linux Live versions to your hard-drive. It uses a kdialog based GUI and makes the installation process simple and largely automated. To make partitioning and file-system creation easier it supports qtparted or gparted (but if neither are available it will use an automated set of wrappers around cfdisk and mkfs). The program was based on the old installer for OpenLab but was heavily rewritten (more than 80% of the code is new) to adapt it for Bluewhite64 Linux, bring it up to date and fix bugs. Please read more details about this on the BW64Install web page.

Bluewhite64 Linux 12.1 KDE4 LiveDVD R1 is our newest version of LiveDVD and contain almost all packages from the stable Bluewhite64 12.1, KDE 4.1.2 with dependencies and some extra KDE4 based packages created by the Bluewhite64 community. Please see the Changelog complete list about packages additions in the Bluewhite64 Linux 12.1 KDE4 LiveDVD.
