Learning My Limits

This is maybe a teaser heading...

At this point, I have 8 partitions on my desktop for distros, and 6 on my laptop. One on each is unused. And I'm having trouble remembering everything I have installed when someone asks me about it. So I have hit a memory barrier, and it is the memory between my ears; and I have hit a limit of what I actually WANT to install.

I have long joked that I could fit 50 distros easily on a 1 Tb SSD, but that the time spent keeping them updated...

New Toys, New Distros

I managed to sell one of my laptops for a goodly bit of money. With the proceeds, I put half into my household budget and went to town buying new stuff. I have a new microphone for my podcasts, and the sound is much better. I bought a new USB sound card for my RPi 4. But the biggest purchases were a 1 Tb SSD for my desktop and a 512 Gb SSD for my laptop.

With the desktop, I cloned my old 256 Gb SSD to the new 1 Tb, and then created 5 more partitions in the space left. I already had...
