Posted 12-07-2011 at 01:32 AM by yash singh

i am working on rhel-5,and i want to recompile my Linux kernel so that once i installed all the pacakages like vlcplayer, openoffice, typing toutorials, nic driver, firewall rule through iptables.i can compile a new kernel putting all this appplication togethe, and i can burn the image of new compiled kernel tro install next time if i am installing a fresh rhel-5 OS,so that every time i need not search and install all the above packages.
