Configuring a Small Home Network, Part 1

I am starting this blog a little late in the initial configuration, so I will update you on what I have currently:
-5 Port Linksys 10/00 Switch
-HP Visualize X-Class workstation acting as server.
-Gateway 1GHZ PC
-Compaq Presario 710 Laptop
-Playstation 2
-2 laptops and a desktop upstairs with internet connections but no current way to connect to the network
-DHCP and DNS running, attempted to setup ddns but currently no sucess. server has static records in DNS, all clients are out until ddns is runnning

    I am new user of Red Hat Linux 8.0.Please tell me is easy way/steps about the configuration of DNS server.
