It all depends on your needs. The reason there are so many distros is because each tries to accommodate the needs of different groups of users.

I like Kubuntu for my personal desktop system, but there are many others worth considering. Try some of these places to help you choose.

Yea, sort of weird post again, nevertheless, I'll publish this.

A while back, when I was still running with kernel 2.6.34/35 (and earlier) on my lappy, PowerTOP would show idle power usage anywhere from 10.x W to the occasional dip into the single-digits. Now on kernel 2.6.37, it never goes below 11 W, and sometimes hovers around 12...this annoys me, because it does take a hit on my lappy's battery life (what once was 4+ hours is now 3-

I've been feeling kinda depressed (more so than usual
