Reinstall Nvidia driver after kernel update in ubuntu

When the kernel gets updated by ubuntu, the NVIDIA drivers aren't working anymore because the nvidia kernel module isn't build for that specific kernel.

To solve this:

open a terminal
become su

> sudo su

Check which sources of nvidia are available

> ls /usr/src

You will see the kernel sources and nvidia sources

Let's rebuild the kernel module

> dkms build -m nvidia-current -v 304.88

Install it

> dkms install -m nvidia-current -v 304.88

Do a reboot or a modprobe nvidia

> reboot
