Linux compatible game news!

Posted 07-17-2009 at 06:46 AM by rich_c

As you may have seen by now, Frictional are offering their Penumbra series for $5 this weekend only, including a Linux version! We're seeing more and more quality games becoming available for Linux these days! As one of the major gripes about Linux is 'no games', this is indeed progress!

Blog of helios was the first place I saw this mentioned. In his post, Ken mentions that he has 10 promotional sets to give away to anyone who blogs about this offer. Well, that's part of the reason for this entry.

But rather than for myself, if Ken deems my entry worthy of one of the free sets I'll use it to try to tempt a colleague or two into the Linux community! Just lately I've been asked by a few people for some info on GNU/Linux, so I reckon if I spread the word that I have a pretty gnarly looking game to give to someone who's willing to give Linux a go I might get more than just mild curiosity as a reaction... Maybe not a typical way of advocating Linux, but worth a go, I think!
