Boot trouble

Posted 02-10-2014 at 05:19 PM by redd9

Well, I guess it's time I start posting to my blog, seeing as I've been a member for a few months new. I'll start off by sharing something that I think might help some newbs, because it freaked me out when it happened to me. After installing Windows (AFTER Linux, which I shouldn't have done) and then rebooting, I was greeted by a nice message that said 'Operating system not found. Press Control-Alt-Delete to restart'. I didn't even know if it was a problem with Windows or Linux. Anyway, I got my Puppy rescue cd and managed to boot into that. After mucking around a bit with various programs, I noticed in Gparted that my Linux partition was not flagged for boot, so I added a flag and rebooted. Hey presto, it worked. I don't have anything else to say, so I guess that's it for now.
