Just a thot:
my OS is U-606.1
Generally, most subsequent OSs are crud. Forget even the x64 month-later version of this one.
Is Ubuntu sold-out to "Drown 'em in bug-crud till they suck some other devel-base dry" or what?
I would really like to load up U-10.04 and find that everything that worked 5 years ago now magically works again, along with everything else that the normal world came up with since then. Please don't kick me for being radical. heh....

If you insert the Mac OSX (Leopard) Install DVD; the only thing you see is the WindowsSupport part of the DVD. If you want to access the OSX Install content of the DVD you need some extra tools.
  • download & install multipath-tools
    (http://christophe.varoqui.free.fr/)
    In a terminal as root
    • tar -xjf multipath-tools-0.4.8.tar.bz2
    • cd multipath-tools-0.4.8
    • make && make install
  • Map the dvd to a loop-device
    losetup /dev/loop0 /dev/sr0 (/dev/sr0

Upgrade to Karmic

Posted 12-17-2009 at 04:22 AM by bhupendra

After my first upgrade to Karmic Koala, virtual box stopped working. After several attempts, went back to Jaunty. Several days later, upgraded to Karmic. Virtual box worked fine, but Skype stopped working. Tried several things including re-installation of pulse audio. Nothing worked. After a few days tried Skype, it was working. Can't explain why it started working all of a sudden.

Lusus Mailing List

Posted 12-17-2009 at 01:12 AM by CoderMan

Previously I mentioned I was working on a series of mini-games for Linux meant to help teach the Latin language. I am hoping to have a release ready for the first mini-game by the end of the winter break.

I now have a mailing list set up for the project. If you would like to be informed of the first release, or if you have any questions, please consider subscribing to the list:
