Reinstalling Linux due to a slip up with the W7 RC installer.

Yeah, I am testing out Windows 7, because I enjoy testing new things out.

One of the irks was that I had delete all the partitions I had in order to install this spoiled child. Creating a partition in free space of 100GB of a 200GB drive (50GB was used for Linux, and another for another installation of Windows) would yield nothing but errors.

Posted 05-08-2009 at 05:52 AM by uinseann

Well, I got hold of the DVD from Linux Format Magazine yesterday. I decided; out of interest and after making a disk image of my system (on my Toshiba Equium laptop which is nothing special but works fine) using "ping" to install PCLinuxOS. The DVD comes up with a menu to boot PCLinuxOS live CD, Mepis live CD, well actually a few different ways of running Mepis, a standard way and one that let you run Mepis by letting it use all your ram if you have 1GB and over. There was also ZenWalk,...
