Android Phone Application

Posted 10-26-2010 at 09:35 AM by radiodee1

At first I was not a fan of the "pads/touch tablets" then I started to think about it and using a web server I came up with lots of ideas.

I am retired, but I am so close to getting a touchpad and starting a business doing turnkey projects. I see all kinds of things you can use it for. i.e. kitchen computer for getting recipes.,we have a web page for doing measurement conversions and a web based recipe data base. Thinking about getting a touch pad/tablet. so I can get more into home automation. Personally, however, I feel that this move comes as no surprise and is 100 % the correct thing to do in the circumstances. From licensing H.264 to OEMs, to the partner repository to the Software Centre, Canonical has consistently seen itself as destinct from the larger Linux community. This is the latest...

I'm beginning to lose faith in Arch due to the lack of help here on LQ

Posted 10-25-2010 at 09:21 PM by Kenny_Strawn (Kenny the one-teen comittee to stamp out Proprietary $uckware)

I can get to a twm session -- by typing 'startx' at the shell. But trying to start GNOME (or GDM) -- both of which I have installed, returns an error that a DBus configuration file isn't found -- when I have DBus installed too.

After I got the system to boot, I still...
