Getting more out of Wine with Winetricks version 20120308

This is my 3rd look at Winetricks. I've come to rely on it to get the three Windows applications I have not learned to live without installed. What are they Google Sketchup, Audible Manager, and Steam. Winetricks does a lot more than just those and I encourage you to use it.

Desura has Linux Gaming Content

Desura calls itself "digital distribution service for gamers". If your thinking, "hey that's like Steam!" Well, your right. The difference being Desura does not pretend that Linux does not exist, and I love them for that. So, I've given Desura a try and you can see the results in my screencast...

Fuduntu - Dell D600

After a mostly favourable installation within VMware it was time to take Fuduntu 2012.1 for a spin on my Linux Donkey Test machine, an old Dell 1.8Ghz, D600, 2GB RAM and a PATA SSD, yes you read that right took a lot of hunting to find that baby!

The intall was smooth, no issues and up and surfing within 10-15 minutes, the "updates" took forever and the "porgress/how long do I have to wait indicator" did not leave me very well informed, minor gripe but still, as...
