Posted 04-11-2012 at 11:42 AM by Skaperen

Browsers these days are still trying to re-fetch data when I press the infamous "back button". I think this was always a dumb idea.

No doubt that is the cause for many cases of web site double ordering. Must remember to press "Submit Thread"

Posted 04-10-2012 at 09:46 PM by farmerdave

Can't believe I did that, wrote a very long post with lots of details for a new thread, then checked it out with a preview. However, I ended up finding totaly different application which was a bit of a surprise to me and the application did a great job editing a PDF. Better yet it's probably on your system right now, if not, it is definitely in your...

I'm using Linux on more than a dozen (previously 2) own laptops and have installations running on 6 (previously 3) others.

One is a 10 year old siemens-nixdorf laptop used by a retired person for internet e-mail and a bit of card games. He loves it for the speed and ease of use. Especially the order of the programs in the very simple groups such as "Internet" "Multimedia" etc.
