TagFS Release 1

It looks like the first version of TagFS is ready to be released. About all of the features you would expect right off the bat are in there.

Upgrading the Kernel in Vectorlinux

Vectorlinux uses gslapt for software installation (and yes it does dependency checking :-)), but Vectorlinux does not use the package manager for handling kernel upgrades.
Kernel upgrades are made available on a regular basis in the form of txz packages that are manually installed.
What the video to get a clear idea of the steps involved and maybe come away with an understanding that this is not as difficult as you may assume.

New libLQ-qt version

This is a makefile generation system with automatic source detection and several modes of operation so other makefile systems can be added to a project, each source file can make a separate main, etc. (Type mc2 -help after installation.)

Some reminders what can be done with ssh

Use password also we have a key login

Notes for sshd:
Keybased login counts as one Authtry. Even when no key is used. That means when using MaxAuthTries 1 in sshd_config one needs to use -o 'pub...' with ssh client to even get to the password prompt.
