Recently booted this slow little ****er up, and got a splash screen announcing that the CMOS battery was dead. So I checked online what battery I needed, and how to replace it. Turned out I more or less had to take the whole thing to pieces to get at the battery. I'd already, a couple of years ago, taken it apart to replace the HDD with an SSD. MX Linux (based on Debian) is by far the most popular Linux system in the world according to DistroWatch.com. I tested MX Linux a few months ago and noticed immediately that one can change the MX system and create a new ISO with MX Snapshot.

I'm not really in favour of doing less than a full installation of Slackware, because it really isn't designed to be installed this way. This is offered completely without warranty. I'm not responsible for you breaking your system if you try this.

With that out of the way, I got a basic installation of Slackware64-15.0 with networking, ssh and ntp in 315Mb.
