csvfs-1.2.1: new stable version released

I just released a new stable version of csvfs, a fuse-based file system that mounts data from a CSV file.

Debian packages are available, and Fedora packages are rolling off the line as I type.

The new version does not yet implement all intended file system operations, but it gets closer. The previous stable version provided a read-only file system, while the current stable version allows editing of individual data fields.

Sneek pick at Vectorlinux 7.0 Soho. The KDE flavour of VL sporting KDE 4.8.3. Admitedly, this is more like a 3 minute and 44 second commercial. Mostly, sets out to demonstrate the speed of KDE on the Vectorlinux platform, desktop effects and what software is available on the cd. Much more software available in the repositories...

Features:
  • Installer uninstaller in a simple clickable (or at least it should be clickable) script. (You can try setting the file associations these to run scripts with kde-open, xdg-open, gnome-open, ... or try the shell-exec app at this blog.)
  • Fun. But is it practical? Maybe, and maybe not. It depends on if you already knew how risky handing control of parts of your system to strangers can be.

Question: Who are they protecting...

Corrected argv[<value>] in error msg at line 102 of file: src/qt4-info.cpp.

[If you work with qt4, this is well worth the exercise. You might be surprised at how much we do with so little code. -rs]
