STUDIO64 installed on Dell Optiplex GX110

Amazing what difference the software can make for the hardware I've got!
--sometimes it's hard being a GNU/linux newbie, sometimes it's great--

My Dell has a problem: I have to use the second IDE port to connect my HDD or CD-device. Result is that I can't use a second HDD or CD-player. My cd writer is an old MATSHITA ST... I was wondering, why M$ dominates and why Linux people can't beat this corporation. It's strange but GNU/Linux has more advantages and more of that it's free! I saw a TV programme saying something about software piracy and other things, but one of M$ employees told everybody an interesting fact. She said that M$ gave 30 000 copies of their OS to some charity organizations. The numbers doesn't matter, it's not as big number in country like Poland, but the most interesting was the word GAVE. All right...

There are days, when you just wake up and you know something sad will happen. Today was one of those. First I overslept and have to run fast through fresh snow. Gentoo related blog

This is My first blog entry. To start off: this blog will be about running Gentoo on 2 boxes. 1) a desktop(AMD64), and 2) a Mythtv/server box. I will post all my issues/problems with upgrading the box and implementing new features.
