How Hard Is It To Post In The Right Forum?

Posted 12-28-2005 at 05:46 PM by XavierP

This has long been a question in my head. I find LQ very easy to navigate. The forums and sub-forums are clearly named and laid out and it's not hard to find my way around. And it's been the same ever since I first registered.

So why are we still seeing threads in the wrong places? Read the forums descriptions and post in the appropriate place. It's not rocket surgery!

Posted 12-28-2005 at 07:51 AM by divukman

Happy holidays to all.

I've recently switched to xfce (still having trouble with kde) and started using aterm.
After playing around for some time, I came up with this, try it, it doesen't look too bad :)

Code:
aterm -tr -trsb -sh 87 -font -misc-fixed-medium-r-normal--18-120-100-100-c-90-iso8859-1 -fg yellow -vb

PHP Make PDF Doc

Posted 12-27-2005 at 10:46 PM by quantumsized

Has anyone tried to make a PHP web interface to make a pdf from a link to a website, or from a file on there computer (such as a .doc, .pub or such) into PDF format and download as soon as it is done. I figure there has to be a good way. I know that OpenOffice.org Writer can export to PDF. But I would be more interested in making a web interface.

Randomness- I'm a Senior Member!

Posted 12-27-2005 at 01:00 AM by microsoft/linux

I just noticed that I have gained the desgination of "Senior Member", I guess that happened 3 posts ago.
Code:
senior

   1. older
from Wiktionary

Huh...senior implies older, more mature. I'm 17, perhaps a bug in the system?(Jeremy, you may find a bug report for this)

That bums me out...someone(jeremy) thinks I'm old!

Anyway, how long 'till I change designation, Guru here I come!
