About 3-4 years ago I bought a Humble Bundle of StackSkills classes, Linux Power Bundle. Last night I finally finished 3 of them and have a good start on a 4th (about 68%). What is NixOS? NixOS is a Linux distribution with a unique approach to package and configuration management. Built on top of the Nix package manager, it is completely declarative, makes upgrading systems reliable, and has many other advantages.
I think NixOS is a very interesting and useful Linux system, but a bit difficult to handle, since it doesn’t work like any other Linux system. I.e. the installation to hard drive is very special, the file system is different and NixOS...

Despite this exGENT version 200428 runs surprisingly fast from DVD or USB. Even in VirtualBox and VMware. Faster than most other Linux live systems. I call my new version exGENT 2020 LXQt Live DVD/USB. It replaces...
I accidentally installed Kubuntu 20.04 over KDE neon. No biggie, same thing, but I was expecting to be replacing my installation of Ubuntu Studio 20.04 Beta. So then I had to find something else to go on that partition. I tried Fedora but could not get confirmation that it would install correctly or would get the EFI in the right place. So I just installed Sabayon. It took less than 2.5 hours, an extremely quick installation for Gentoo, especially considering I was using an old USB2 stick and installing...
