Slackware 12: usbboot.img

Posted 07-06-2007 at 06:59 PM by hrp2171

Awesome feature! I tried the usbboot.img to install Slackware 12 and it worked perfectly. I had already downloaded the /slackware folder to the winxp partition, so using my usb stick was perfect choice for installation. No wasted CDs or DVDs.

Thank goodness.

shell script to send a mail on success or failure of task

Posted 07-02-2007 at 07:13 AM by

Hi All,
I have written a shell script which takes the back up of data from Bugzilla, everyday. Now I want to upgrade this script with the option of sending a mail to me(or any respective person) in both the scenarios i.e. upon success and failure scenarios of back up with the appropriate information. Can anyone help me in this aspect?

I have (or I should say VMWare has) killed my debian install. One minute it's running fine, the next VMWare has changed a identifer because I moved the machine save and BOOM! down goes the network inside the VM :(

Ah well that's the last time I move one of those bad boys, still if I can get it up and running again quick then I'll be a happy peep :)

I can copy from my desk top but,I can't copy or scan from my printer!?

The RED ! light stays on while the printer is on but, does go out when I shut the printer off!

When I try to copy or scan (from the printer),it makes a rapid clicking noise but, stops after several seconds.Still, nothing!!!
