You may have some trouble when trying to make sed replacements along the lines of:
sed 's|$originalpath|$otherpath/$filename|'
If the variables contain things like the "-" character, or some other special characters, some of the sed commands may be terminated before they should, in error, as it's taking part of the variable as sed commands, rather than parameters. Got a new phone and ran into the usual trouble of how to get my pics and stuff on the phone to my computer.
Tried a couple of manual hacks which can work but are awkward such as mounting the device. The security on the new Android 6 + 7 messes up quite a bit of stuff there and all I want to do is transfer files back and forth. Pics from the phone to the computer some music to the phone.
