Good-bye Debian

I have been a great fan of Debian for the last few years.
1) The commitment to producing a quality system with rock-solid stability.
2) Commitment to the cause of free software.
The result was a reliable system that I was proud to use, knowing I was doing my very small part in contributing to the cause of free software.

Those days are unfortunately past.
By rushing to adopt systemd while it is still in development, the developers abandoned the Debian policy...

The decline of Linux boards.

It is painfully easy to see. Look at almost any Linux users' forum and the obvious jumps out. Almost no knowledgeable members. This is true of all pan-Linux boards: LinuxQuestions, LinuxForums, LinuxFormat, Linux.org, etc. It is also true of many distro-specific boards.

This is my first attempt to write a blog. I have never had an interest in doing such things, but the time has come to rant. For the last two years, I have seen posts on numerous fora by people looking for, or complaining because they cannot find, stability and cutting edge. There are two problems I do not understand:
1) The desire for SNS. Version 3.18 that was released three or four months ago is too old. I MUST have 3.19, and I MUST have it NOW! This growing trend of believing software is...
