Been a while since I made a blog entry. Lot has happened since the initial entry. I am now a LQ moderator that takes up time for my duties. I do enjoy helping other LQ members whenever possible. I have sold the farm therefore the horses had to find a new home and I moved to town to live in a historical home we had to purchase.

Love the convenience of living in town but miss the solitude of the country. I lost all my storage (barn) & workshop. I am in the process of getting a new workshop that is being custom built. More of a portable garage so the city or county cannot tax me on the temporary structure. Size is 14' x 32', less than half the size of my old shop. Some tools will need to find a new home. Consolidate my tools and re-organize my layout with a better system of shop organization. I miss my shop. Restricts my remodeling here since most of the tools are stored. My Electronics LAB is still in progress for resetting the equipment and benches layout, plus installing new wiring circuits along with a new network for the whole house & LAB. Moving from a 5000 sq/ft house to <2700 requires one to decide what is really necessary. Don't get the wrong idea, I love the new home. Just that I do not have the space that I once had. Miss my rec room, bar & pool table.

My wife loves the time spending decorating while I really am not into that. Remodeling & being a General contractor is what I do now. Boy is it ever hard to get good people to work. Some of the demo work done was a waste of manpower. I am still looking for some 2 1/2 inch crown to replace what the workers ripped out instead of salvaging. I will probably grind my own shaper cutter for my shaper to create this old style molding. I have been searching for this style of crown for a long time. Very anxious to get my shop back together.

My experimentation work will be on hold for a while longer until the dust settles for all the work that needs to be done around here.

The local Radio Shack is going out of business so I purchased some Arduino kit boards at 60% off. I can't wait to marry with Rpi bench setup to do some experimentation. So little time to get everything I want done. Being retired just means you are constantly doing something. Love the work when I am physically able.

Slackware is now 21 so I will just have few brews to celebrate. I cannot believe it's been that long. Boy, time does pass.

I have been signing my posts with the following so I will close with same;
Hope this helps.
Have fun & enjoy!
