mepis 7

Posted 11-28-2008 at 07:36 PM by olderone

I have recently used the liveCD for Mepis 7 & found that I can play mp3's, jpg & even movie shots taken from my camera, copying from a CF card on the USB. I am very new to Linux & I would like to be able to connect to the internet wirelessly as I do with XP. So far no go. I have a Speedtouch 121g wireless adapter plugged into a USB socket. Can anyone tell me how I can do this, or is it not possible without having to install it on the hard drive. The router is WEP encrypted.

There would be no easy way to make it work on live cd. If you did get it working you would have to do the same thing the next time you booted Mepis if you did not have it installed to hd or a memory stick.
