I have installed MPICH2 on three RHEL4 machines .All the machines are on same network.
I run a big c program on the first machine . It took around 3 minutes to run on the standalone machine. After this , I run the same program on the cluster.It took the same three minutes to give the same output . Perhaps my assumption was wrong that : MPICH2 will distribute the calculation part on the three nodes of the cluster..if this is true..then the time taken for the program to run on the cluster should...
