Boston Marathon Bombing:

As we all probably know, there was a bombing in Boston during the marathon. There is now quite a bit of debate on this and surrounding issues. Were the bombing suspects Muslim terrorists? Why did they kill the MIT officer? etc. etc. I'm surprised that the liberal politicians haven't started saying, 'Ban all pressure cookers! After all, they can and were used as weapons of mass destruction!!' Indeed various leaders have come out and said that the constitution "needs to be reinterpreted to keep the American people safe," or words to that effect. This is like saying 'The Muslims want to take away your freedoms, so we are going to take away your freedoms to keep the Muslims from taking them away.' It is ridiculous!! The US military is categorizing evangelical Christians as a greater threat than Muslims or atheists. But I don't see Southern Baptists or Reformed Presbyterians running around shooting little kids and blowing up bombs at major public events.....I'm just not seeing it!! The government needs to get its priorities straight and deal with the problem: Muslims!! Nothing against Muslims. Not all Muslims are suicide bombers. However, the TSA and DHS and all of the other government security agencies need to stop frisking 78 year old white grandmas at the airport; instead, they need to start frisking and searching Muslims. Once again, not all Muslims are bombers or terrorists; however, that is what there creed teaches them to do; kill the infidel! And those of us who are Non-Muslims are infidels.

And then how the police are being profiled. Many of the media commentators are saying that the police were awful, "they actually had their guns out." Come on!! The police were in a raging gun battle with the two suspects. Officers were killed and wounded. Do you expect the police to go around all nicy nicy handing out flowers!! No, there were people killed by the suspects at the bombing, officers were killed, one suspect, a killer, was on the loose. The police had to defend themselves and others, and to do that they had to treat the area as if it was a war zone. That is their job, like it or not, people.

Sorry about the rant: I don't rant very often. However, this situation pushed me over the top. I mostly try to keep my blog to tech stuff; and I intend to do so in the future. However, just this once, I wished to rant.

Exactly. However, as I said, I will try to restrain myself in the future.
