CLI to get Oracle Supply Network email attachments

Posted 10-06-2015 at 03:37 PM by MensaWater
Updated 11-12-2015 at 08:05 AM by MensaWater

I'm writing this up because I've often seen the question "How do I extract email attachments at command line?". I had to figure out how to use various tools to do this recently and figured I'd share what I did.

EDIT 11-Nov-2015:
While what is written below certainly works for extracting email attachments including those sent by OSN it turns out Oracle does NOT include all fields in the email they send so we ultimately abandoned this setup for OSN and are instead...

OK - This isn't really Linux but is related to work I do as a System Admin wherein we use Cisco DCNM (Fabric Manager) to manage our Cisco MDS 9513 SAN switches. In addition to installing the Fabric Manager jnlp on our local Windows 7 workstations we install the Device Manager jnlp (element-manager.jnlp).

We did a recent upgrade to DCNM 6.2(5a) on our main Fabric Manager server (Windows 2008 R2) and upgraded the switches to 6.2(5) version of NX-OS. (One must run a version of DCNM/Fabric...

Interface reverts to different zone in firewalld RHEL7 (SOLVED)

We recently setup a couple of new DMZ servers so decided to use zones "internal" and "external" rather than zone "public" (which RHEL7 uses by default). We also set "internal" as the "default" in firewalld.

We used firewall-cmd to assign our em1 interface (this is first embedded NIC, on some systems this might still be eth0 instead) to the external zone. We then assigned em2 (second embedded NIC, this might be eth1 instead)...

Posted 04-30-2015 at 03:26 PM by MensaWater

We had an issue with a few servers showing as CRITICAL in Nagios with"(Host Check Timed Out)" for the host check itself even though all services were displaying as OK.

Today I finally realized the issue is that in our hosts.cfg for there is a definition for "generic" that includes:
check_command check-host-alive

In our commands.cfg check-host-alive was defined to run check_ping.

However, these hosts were in our DMZ and...

timer.c:331: fatal error: RUNTIME_CHECK(isc_time_no w((&now)) == 0) failed

Posting this because all I found on line were multiple links to a single google post about this error.

On a RHEL5.10 system this morning I did a "dig" and got the error:
timer.c:331: fatal error: RUNTIME_CHECK(isc_time_now((&now)) == 0) failed

Clearly the message is related to time and in the US this past weekend we switched to daylight saving time (in my case we went from EST to EDT). Initially I thought it was because the system I was on didn't...
