SaX2 rpm install returns: cpio: mkdir failed - Permission denied

Posted 07-16-2007 at 03:19 AM by Lunochod

Hi there,

I'm trying to install SaX2 on SuSe 9.0:

logged in as root I run the following cmd:

rpm -i sax2-4.7-590.i586.rpm

and get the message:

error: unpacking of archive failed on file /usr/share/locale/sv/LC_MESSAGES/sax.mo;46628357: cpio: mkdir failed - Permission denied

Does anyone know a solution ?
cheers,
Mario
