I now have XOSL as my boot manager.

I have installed XOSL as a boot manager and it is very good. I made a 1gig partition of ext3 Linux and installed XOSL there. Using it I don't have to go into any of my linux partitions to change the boot managers characteristics. It has an option on boot up to edit it.
I have been running Mepis 8 lately. It is much better at running things out of the box than the Ubuntus. It uses Debian. I have a 22" wide lcd monitor and the Ubuntus are unable to run 1600x1000 or so and that bugs me....

Me n Linux

My first Linux came on 21 1.2 meg floppies.
Of course it was command line only and I liked it but only as an interesting OS.
At the time I was running IBM PC dos and OS2 2.0 .
My computer was a 286 16 mhz with 2.4 megs ram.
I added a co-processor and was quite happy with it but I was doing some circuit board designing so I had to remove the Linux and put dos and OS2 back.
My next Linux was redHat 4.
I installed it into my 486dx20 with 8 megs ram and a...
