I've been toying with other distros, much as I often do, and realized that I really liked the Xfce terminal. It's pretty sexy!
What I really liked was that it was transparent. It didn't actually have any major features that differentiated it with other terminal emulators - I just liked the transparency.
I hadn't ever bothered to try to use transparency in Lubuntu and, much to my surprise, my WM doesn't allow compositing. (This was conveyed to me by Xfce's terminal that...

This is gonna be brief.
These may seem simple to you, but lately I've discovered some neat stuff. It's probably stuff you can use or already know.
First, you can have multiple alias profiles.
source ~/.bash_aliases also works as source ~/.bash_aliases2, source ~/.bash_aliases3, etc...
Second, you can pipe 'man' to a text file.
man grep > grep.txt
This makes me curious about writing a script to export all...

How To Make A Dock With LXPanel!
It's actually pretty easy to make your own dock with LXPanel, it has the ability to do so built right in. It's not too difficult, takes only a little time. When you're done, it can look something like this:

1. Right click on an unoccupied space in your existing panel, and click on " Create New Panel."

It turns out, the blog's custom pages do not seem to work. Oh, I wrote 'em. I split 'em up to meet the 2500 character rule. I even made an "about me" page, which seemed a bit pretentious but I was wanting to test the system and could think of nothing better to do.
Fortunately, I type pretty quickly and it's not actually bothersome to see the work go to waste. But, maybe this will be noticed and someone will tell me why the URLs look right but they redirect to someone else's...
