Overview and Expectations

Posted 04-02-2006 at 10:40 PM by kf4otn

In a few short weeks I'll start my training for my RHCT. For many who read this it would sound like I was going for an A+ certification because RHCT shouldn't be that hard, right? Well, I'm definately not a software guy. All my training has been in networking, communications, and hardware. I stumble every time I boot up my linux box, but hopefully that will be a thing of the past in the near future.

Just before 2006 began one of the best instructors at my school, who gave me the knowledge of information security (which lead to the beginning of my career), challenged me to learn linux, to understand linux, and to grasp linux as well as I have grasped the Cisco language.

In the coming days and weeks, I plan to document my learning and mastering of the linux language along with any tips and code that I want to remember. If anyone has any questions or has any answers to the questions I might pose in my blog, feel free to contact me!
