Day 12 of RHCT Class

Posted 05-27-2006 at 07:31 AM by kf4otn

Would you believe that I've been too busy to blog? Yep, this RHCT class is keeping me behind the keyboard. Well, I'm on workbook 3, chapter 2 in the RHA 030 class. I'm trying to stay on target of doing two workbooks a week. So far so good. I have run into a couple of problems, though. Some of the instructions on the online exercises are less than clear. When that happens you have to keep digging to get exactly what the system wants. It isn't a big deal, just annoying. Other than that, I'm really enjoying the class. I'm learning quite a bit and it is because the program is hands on and isn't something where I'm listening to someone tell me about it in a lecture hall. Well, back to the books. I'm a long way from RHCT but I'm getting there.

Good to hear that you are taking a RHCT class. But I'm a little surprised to hear that Red Hat study packs are not very clear in information. As far as my experiences go the Red Hat books are well organized. Then again I did the RHCE track (RH 033,133,253 on RHEL 3) and I had used Linux for a couple of years before hand.

Wish you good luck in RHCT test.
