Virtual machines

Well, that was easy: installed Virtualbox (using synaptic) and made a couple of virtual machines: Debian and WindowsXP. It's really simple, just don't forget to make a virtual disk and to mount de CD/DVD-drive or ISO-image with the installation disk(-image). Funny thing is that I get the impression that the virtual machines are faster then the 'normal' ones, at least in powering up. I'm curious to hear if you have the same impression.
I'll use the virtual Debian machine for my LPI training,...

I am not new to Linux, using it for about three years now. But still learning. I tried several distributions. Started with Suse, tried Fedora some time, then Debian and settled for Ubuntu. Now I installed Fedora 10 and Suse 11.0 alongside Ubuntu (8.10). Not without problems though. The first time Suse refused to let me visit the internet or do something with my email, but it saw my router and I was able to ping an external website. After al lot of fuss trying to correct this, I reinstalled Suse...
