Story: Justice Dept. to defend warrantless cell phone tracking

Hmmm... Giving the U.S. Justice department legal permission to track our movements, via our cellphone signal, 24 hours a day without even mentioning it to a judge... I'm not too sure about that one. Anyone else have doubts?

Too cool: Haskell Source Analysis

I tried out Haskell's SourceGraph program on the project I'm currently working on. It produces tons of cool dependency / analysis graphs. I saved a summary graph in SVG format at the following location:

Warning: It is only 374K in size, but it is over 22,000 pixels wide at the default size!

The project in its present form uses an event-based model with an oop-like component structure....

Weird Cell Phone Scare Bill

We all accept the idea that gov. sometimes must step in to protect the health and welfare of the country, but I think that the recent "Cell Phone Right to Know Act" (H.R.6358) is rather overboard. The idea is to protect people from scary cell phone radiation by establishing, not just required cell phone labeling, but a host of associated regulations, and government research spending. The bill is 16 pages long and requires carriers to record and provide a host of detailed cell phone usage...
