EDIT 141221
A new version of PuppEX Tahr is ready. Most important changes: I've changed kernel from 3.17.6 to 3.18 and installed NVIDIA Graphics driver 340.65. The Nvidia driver will be used if your computer/card is "modern" enough. I've also added Tahrpup's Service Pack 6.0.1 in PuppEX version 141221. (Kernel 3.18.1 can't be used in Puppy/PuppEX just yet).
EDIT 141209
Today I have uploaded a new version of PuppEX Tahr. It uses kernel 3.17.6-puppex. Kernel 3.17.6 was released 141207. (So was kernel 3.18, but it cannot be used in Puppy/PuppEX just yet).
EDIT 141124
Today I have uploaded a new version of PuppEX Tahr. It uses kernel 3.17.4-puppex. Kernel 3.17.4 was released 141121.
PuppEX Tahr 32 bit is a remaster of Puppy Linux Tahr 6.0, released on October 28, 2014. Kernel 3.17.2-puppex is used. Kernel 3.17.2 is the latest available stable kernel from Kernel.org as of 141112. PuppEX uses the original Puppy Tahr Desktop. I have added PCManFM and LXTerminal. They are more useful than ROX-Filer respectively RXVT, I think. The ISO file is on the whole 415 MB, which is due to me including also NVIDIA Graphics driver 340.58, Gimp and compiling tools. Puppy Tahr original is of only 199 MB. PuppEX is despite this still running as fast as the original, which means it runs very, very fast compared to most other Linux systems. (Puppy/PuppEX runs from RAM).
Compatible with Ubuntu 14.04 LTS
The beauty of Puppy Tahr 6.0 is that programs that are available for Ubuntu 14.04 LTS also can be easily installed and run in Puppy Tahr (and thus also in PuppEX).
MOST IMPORTANT CHANGES
I’ve changed kernel from 3.14.20 to 3.17.2 and installed NVIDIA Graphics driver 340.58. The Nvidia driver will be used if your computer/card is “modern” enough.

A "review" of PuppEX Tahr
I simply must cite a member of Puppy Linux Forum: This is astonishing - outstanding even, boots fast and absolutely fly's on my old X60 Thinkpad. Lost for words to describe just how good this is. Anyone that want's a real OS experience and more should try this. Still playing - looking better all the time.Posted 12-01-2014 at 09:12 AM by exton
