Hi and thanks for reading my blog. Lets have an proper introduction.

I have been a Window user for over 10 years and got fed up having to constantly upgrade hardware and software to get the ALL SINGING ALL DANCING same old shite as before.

So around Christmas time 2010 I dual booted Vista and Fedora on a crappy laptop (with good RAM, everything else is crap). Eventually as replacement tools were found for Fedora it became apparent that Vista could go; it had to go, it took up 80% of my drive (couldn't shrink the partition).

At the end of January (2010) Vista was removed and I was 100% Fedora; well not quite... VirtualBox had to be installed with XP and Win7 virtual machines. My work still use XP and any experiments I do need to be done on XP.

You see I'm a software developer working with the .NET framework among lots of other things. It's a really good framework with many good class libraries; a lot like Java. Also a huge fan of Ruby and next on the list it's Python... although the order of the list might need to change as Python is installed by default Ruby isn't. I also need to change the habit of a life time and start sharing my code... need to get more involved with open source. I owe it to all those who developed the great and free software I am using now.

One last thing... I'm studying for LPIC-1, if you have this qualification then please get in touch. I'd love to chat with you.

The sun is out, nice music on the stereo, it's going to be a good day.
