First day without a mouse.
This morning before logging into Windows, at work, I decided to bite the bullet and finally disconnected the mouse. The last few days thanks to vim and vimperator* I've been trying not to use the mouse; but it's difficult because the act of reaching for the mouse is so completely automatic.
Did I miss the mouse?
Yeah, once... using TortoiseSVN. (i usually use the svn command line tool but was supporting someone with a dependency on graphical tools; on a side note there is a need for a svn-repo-browser command line tool.)
Apart from that one time (thanks to a little investigation on how to scroll the console with the arrow keys Alt-Space+E+L) I didn't really miss the mouse at all. In fact it was easier than I had originally imagined.
Only problem I have now is Windows doesn't work like vim. :\ Need to use the arrow keys to scroll the console and folders rather than vim short cut keys...
That is it for me now... time to become a keyboard ninja.
* an add-in for Firefox that allows you to browse the internet using a flavour of vim keyboard commands.
