Need to know how to install Oracle 10g, but threw Linux.

Hello Everybody, I am very to new Linux well I lose all my knowledge after leaving college over 12yrs ago. Now my questions is Im working on Oracle Cert 10g. However, I am having issues trying to install 10g, but I need to setup everything threw Linux 1st. I created my groupadd user everything. But I dont know if all the files and directory are in place. I download differenct but having isses open I am running into is the unzip packages. How do I install packages "like this rpm -q make gcc glibc compat-db compat-gcc compat-gcc-c++
make-3.81-3.el5
package gcc is not installed
glibc-2.5-24.el5_2.2
package compat-db is not installed
package compat-gcc is not installed
package compat-gcc-c++ is not installed"

I need a solid way to install all this and a way to unzip these packages. Can anyone help Newbie out. P.S I am following direction from other place online and still keep getting these same issues. Oh I cant forget I am using Centos 5.2.
