Hmm, it's been some time since last post, all because I dont really know what to configure/make/install first. I went for binutils because that's where LFS kicks off, but get compile errors...
...fair enough...maybe I did'nt use the right version. I used 2.14 for this. At the time of writing, the configure is working for 2.21.1 and I'm not in a positive mood about this. The thing is that the configure does end nicely, leaving a makefile behind to use, so that should mean something...

you may look into buildroot, it's a set of scripts for simple way of building LFS with uClibc. It has it's bugs though, but may be interesting if you're just starting with LFS. If you really want to build it all yourself, then yes, it's a long learning, lots of trials and errors, but in the end, brings you a desired results LFS ftw!

It's not LFS, but something entirely unscripted. And yes, it's gonna take time, but hey, it's in line with the base Linux idea:
