My opinions and beliefs.

I am going to quit expressing them and try to subdue the emotions that they may bring forth. No one ever agrees with me on anything, and that depresses me. Many times I feel like I get attacked and/or belittled. It makes me feel like I am in the wrong community here on LQ. I suppose I should just admit that I am dumb and ignorant. I don't even know what is true or right anymore. Just an FYI to some people I'm only human and I have feelings too.

Anyway, from this point further I will attempt to avoid posting any opinionated or remotely ideological content and avoid threads that may incite such postings on LQ.

P.S. If you are going to reply to this post, please quote it in it's entirety, because I am tired of having my posts taken out of context and sniped line-by-line. Thank you.

Just because a troll raised a bait on word libertarian mentioned in your About Me section, you decided to remove it? Do you realize that you've let the troll succeed?

People over all are too touchy. I run into this all the time with my posts. I post less because of it. I completely agree about the pick apart quote replies. I find it's used by people that don't know how to form a proper response or lead the reader from one topic to the next. Additionally, it's ugly and annoying to all readers involved. Anybody following the thread clearly knows what is being talked about and doesn't need to be reminded of it in every post. Either way, I like using "@ topic" if what I want to reply to is several posts back... much like "@ user" but directed at the topic in general. Besides the most anybody can do is post a nasty response or stop reading your posts. Either way it's a win because the nasty post are either funny or meaningless and if they stop posting replies then it's a win all together.
