Thanks for your advice Rick C.I bought an Android telephone. Samsung Galaxy 5.It cost around 130 euros. The connection was alright but the speed was terribly low.I happened to sleep with it connected to my computer and in the morning I could not make it work.I hope My warrenty gives me a new phone I can sell.No more Android or other smartphones for me.I am happy with a simcard for my telephone, for my talking and messenges. This is no problem. This suits me fine.I have a real material letter box for the mailman.I have a gmail account and I have a telephonenumber.Fedora doesn´t make big problems with my connections.Ubuntu is worse than windows XP for me.I do not want any Ubuntu distros anymore.I will stick to Fedora. Now I am going to check up on operative systems with an assembler kernel. It is time for Assembler,Lisp,Euphoria. This C, C++,Python,Perl, seems to be terrible languages. To learn more about connections to internet I have to ask a guy that is a teatcher in computing and a Windows user.I have never got a good advice on anything from a linux community.I do not care about this Linux,Mac,Windows hate shit. There must be something better or it must come.I do not feel I fit in here.

Debian, Mepis, or Mint are better than Ubuntu. I started with Slackware and grew up on the original RH (before Fedora). Still use a bit of Ubuntu being too lazy to migrate.

Your comment about the Linux community help certainly rings true. I have a blog here on LG and right away
offended some Linux fan boys. Not a way to welcome newbie's to the the fold. I am a Linux user, though no degrees or work in the field. Right or wrong, if Linux is ever going to make it to the mainstream this is no way to to treat people. I really never meant to offend anyone and since its a blog posting, not cry for help, I was startled by the reaction I got, from a 'profession' no less. And the last thing I needed was to be admonished by this same 'professional' for NOT using the control panel for the blog. No way..
If there is anything holding back Linux from the mainstream, this will do it.Posted 02-10-2011 at 08:54 AM by stefragre
