Hot And gettting hotter!

Summer days of July/Aug in Central Illinois are miserable at times with heat index in triple figures. I play in the senior summer league and we tee off at noon. Shows how smart we are in old age. Sure it's nice in early spring or late fall but when the heat index gets high then things can get dangerous. I drink at least 4-6 bottles of water per round and everyone teases me for drinking so much water. Still I can have some problems, at times I sweat so bad that I cannot stand myself. I jump into the shower as soon as I get home. My game is better when it's a little cooler. Yesterday I played a round with friends. They couldn't believe I made the 1st (398yards/par 4) green in 2 then putt for a bird. My round was fair but I could have done much better. My driver and hybrids are getting better with time. Short game has improved. I still use the single plane swing method and I am not sore from swinging since minimal twist of my spine. I couldn't twist if I tried because of the spinal fusions that I have. Glad to be out with my friends and playing golf again. I cannot wait to get to Florida this fall. Goodbye Illinois winters, we will be staying through the winter months.

My wife is in Florida with the Grand kids from Oregon for their first Disney visit. I am not a Disney person, sure I like Downtown Disney but I really cannot see me on some of those rides. First day at Disney, my wife said the kids wore her out with a 8 hour outing. I told her to rent a cart so they could get into the rides sooner. Better for cart than to setup fast pass for each. They will move everyone with the person in the cart to the front. She has a heart issue so being disabled will get her the cart. Worth the money to get through all the fuss with waiting for the lines to move.

I do not know about you but I am getting so tired of all the politics. Both candidates stick their foot in the mouth all the time. I listened to H Sunday try and spin the lying part. Thankfully Chris Wallace did not let it pass. Washington post fact check gave H four Pinocchio, Liberal press even says she lies. I pray each day that we will not have another eight years of Obama. This country cannot stand the debt that we are bearing. You cannot just continue to print money without something happening. Our debt interest is getting close to 1 Trillion and that is money better used for the country than carrying interest on 20 trillion. To our legislators, GET A BUDGET and stick too it. Our health care system is one of the best in the world but it is changing because of ObamaCare. Personal Insurance premiums continue to increase, thankfully my former employers plans are still a fair price for retirees. Increasing yearly but the increase does cut into my spending expenses.

I hope everyone continues to have good experiences here at LQ. I like to give back, one reason for my involvement with the forums as a mod.

Wife is gone, So I guess my treat tonight will be a few cold beers without getting in trouble.
