My Choice of Avatar -- The Sorcerer's Apprentice

I have been asked why I use The Sorcerer's Apprentice glyph as an avatar. To answer that, you need to understand his story.
Mickey worked for a powerful sorcerer doing odd jobs around the castle. He carried wood and mopped and cleaned. All the while he watched as the sorcerer worked magic with his book of spells and magic hat. One evening, the sorcerer left his hat behind and went to bed. Mickey, tasked with sweeping and cleaning, borrowed the hat and magicked the broom to carry pales of water.
This worked well, but then Mickey fell asleep. The broom kept fetching water. When Mickey saw this was out of control, he used an axe to chop the broom to pieces. Magically, each piece became its own broom that started to carry water as well. Eventually, Mickey was awash in the flood.
The commotion woke the sorcerer who used a spell to end the flood and the parade of brooms. Mickey, ashamed, returned the hat.
When it comes to "systems wizardry", I know where the sorcerers keep their hats. I can work minor magic, but I'm often awash in a flood of troubles or I turn myself into a frog. LinuxQuestions and the rest of the net usually provide the magics to save the day ... usually.

By the way, I failed to give due credit. The Sorcerer's Apprentice was a Disney character in the original Fantasia film (1940). The experience was so special that it was repeated in Disney's the second Fantasia (2000) film.

The character, Sorcerer's Apprentice, was made into its own feature film http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sourc...i4D7BNqSyN1z9w released in 2010.
