Why RPM Repositorys are the Future of Linux

Posted 05-18-2007 at 11:16 AM by Chargh

Most of the Programs I have installed that did not come with my Installation (I run Fedora Core 4, going to Upgrade to 7 when it is released :D) came from the Fedora Extras Repository. There I installed with out any problems. I installed Quake III Arena fine from a RPM, I bet it was because I had already installed all the dependencies because I installed Nexuiz, from the Fedora Extras repository using Yumex. Now I am trying to get Quake II. I am still dependencies Hell. So this is why I say RPM Repository's are the Future of Linux. :)

PS: If any one can tell me about an RPM repository with lots of First person Shooters, or RTS Games games please E-mail me at hodchargh2004@yahoo.ca ;)
