winbindd dead but pid file exists

i had use winbind demon to acess the win-nt domine user to the linux. it works well before 3 days, but now when i start winbind it says


/etc/init.d/winbind restart

Shutting down Winbind services: [FAILED]
Starting Winbind services: [ OK ]


/etc/init.d/winbind status
winbindd dead but pid file exists


What is the problem i don't change any of the config files of sanba,kerbrose. any idea.
