My company currently runs an IceWarp (used to be called Merak) mail server. I am looking to change this. One of the biggest disadvantages of the IceWarp mail server is the lag experienced when users have a few hundred messages in their inbox--or any other folder for that matter. I am looking for a mail server which is integrated with a database so that folder listings will be more responsive.

I am an IT professional. I manage a few Debian servers (two web servers [one of which is also an IM server] and a mysql server) and a couple of CEntOS "appliances" (Untangle and Fonality pbxtra [proprietary asterisk solution]).

I manage a number of windoze server2000/server2003/xp machines but will not mention those here.

I don't currently run any Linux desktops at work but have in the past and probably will again soon.
